It’s high season in Bali and The Balcony was jam-packed with pro surfers and tourists from across the globe.
On the August 5th 2008, one of the most influential filmmakers in the surf industry Taylor Steele premiered his latest movie ‘Stranger than Fiction’. What was supposed to be a small, private gathering of friends and surf stars of the movie, it turned out to be crowded. Guess word gets out fast around here. All kinds of people came. From famous international surfers such as Kelly Slater, Rob Machado, the Irons brothers, the Hobgood bro’s to local pro’s Dede Suryana, Betet Merta, Marlon Gerber and Rizal Tandjung (just to name a few), and people just chilling out and having a few drinks while the movie’s rolling. That was just one of the many nights of events that happen at The Balcony and still many more to come.
